Currently, the intense circulation of technological devices in people’s daily lives interferes with the production of plural modes of existence and fictional perspectives of reality. Based on this premise, as well as the perspective of qualitative research, this theoretical study analyzes some of the impacts of technological advances on the sex-gender system. The text is divided into two parts. Initially, the functioning mechanisms of the control society are discussed, understanding how the power- knowledge system has been updated in technologies present in contemporary society. In continuation, a historical and analytical location of the emergence and evolution of the internet is generated and how this technological device interferes with the production of plural gender perspectives. It is provisionally concluded by situating the importance of communication technologies in the production of new regimes of subjectivation and control, destabilizing analyses that reify them as individual and natural expressions.
