This research is part of a master’s project which aimed to map the subjective processes shaping the sense of belonging among LGBTQIAPN+ individuals in Brazilian universities based on the recording of their experiences in these spaces, highlighting the importance of the bonds built in this process. Taking Spain as a reference in promoting education focused on diversity, developing several projects and actions in defense of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, this research aims to identify and analyze the forms of connection and belonging of the LGTBQIAPN+ community in the university context of Spain, as complementary material to what was developed in Brazil. Six semi-structured interviews were conducted with LGBTQIAPN+ university students in order to investigate their bonds, support networks and perceptions as a sexual and gender minority at the university, obtaining results that reveal a concerning reality of vulnerability. The analysis of the collected data was based on the principles of qualitative research.
