Abstract

The present work brings with it questions related to the violation of human rights and the construction of the identity of a young homosexual, carried over from the book “Quente como o Inferno”, by the author Marcela M. R. Talavus (2021). This study is the result of a course conclusion paper, whose objective is to identify and discuss how religious discourses on homoaffectivity directly affect the construction of the identity of LGBTQIAPN+ people from the analysis of Benjamin Parker's life story. The authors who form the basis of this text include Agnes Heller (1985), Ciampa (1987), Mesquita & Perucchi (2016), among others, who, together with historical-dialectical materialism, constitute the theoretical framework. It can be considered that Benjamin Parker managed to overcome the identity of the shepherd's son, to consider himself the devil's boyfriend, aware of his actions, desires and God's love for him.
