Sad, Crazy or Bad: Analysis of the Naming Modes of Women Users in CAPS-AD

This research analyzes the ways in which women drug users assisted at the Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and other drugs (CAPS-AD) in a city in the interior of the state of Paraná are daily named and name themselves based on controlling images articulated through the dispositifs of love and motherhood. The methodological outline of this investigation was initially organized through a bibliographic survey conducted on the Scielo and PEPSIC databases, as well as through the reading of works by key authors in the fields of Gender Studies and Psychiatric Reform. In a second moment, grounded in the perspective of participatory research, fieldwork was carried out through involvement in everyday activities developed at the CAPS-AD, enabling the sharing of knowledge with women who use this service. The study concludes by reaffirming the importance of an intersectional debate on the gendered construction of psychological suffering within integrative health practices.
