Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the mental health and quality of life of 25 healthcare professionals working at Psychosocial Care Centers of Criciúma, Santa Catarina, by analyzing three constructs: depression, anxiety, and quality of life. The study adopted a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional design. A demographic questionnaire was developed, along with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-BREF), to enable standardized data collection and analysis of variables according to the study objectives. The results indicated that 11 participants presented an unlikely level of anxious symptoms, 10 participants showed a possible (questionable or doubtful) level of anxious symptoms, and 4 participants presented a probable level of anxiety symptoms. Regarding depressive symptoms, 14 participants showed an unlikely level, 8 participants showed a possible (questionable or doubtful) level, and 3 participants presented a probable level of the depressive symptoms.
